How I work

I stopped doing interviews two years ago.

Not because I became too grand for them. Because I finally named what was actually happening in them — and what I named was the interview trap.

A potential client asks me for an exploratory chat. I arrive genuinely interested. They describe their problem — teams pulling in different directions, change initiatives stalling, communication breaking down. I listen intently. I ask good questions. I start to see the pattern. And then — because I am a professional who cares about the work and wants to demonstrate my aptitude for the work I begin to share what I am are seeing.

An hour later they thank me warmly and say they will be in touch.

That is consulting therapy. The leader gets an idea for a fix. The engagement never materialises. And the real problem — whatever was actually driving the dysfunction remains unnamed and ultimately unsolved.

So I changed the frame. Every conversation I have now is designed for one thing: locating the root cause and deciding together whether a structured intervention is the right response.

Where is the gap showing up?

Every organisation has a gap between what it says it values and what is actually driving behaviour. Sometimes that gap shows up in organisational performance. Sometimes it shows up in leadership. Sometimes it shows up in teams and culture. The first step is recognising where it is costing you.

Organisational Performance

Why are we still stuck?

Everything looks reasonable on paper. Yet progress is slower than expected. The same issues keep resurfacing. Change initiatives stall. Teams pull in different directions. When capable people keep producing disappointing outcomes, the problem is rarely capability. More often, it is alignment.

Leadership

When the map no longer works.

You've achieved results before. But difficult decisions, competing priorities and values conflicts can make even experienced leaders question their direction. Sometimes the challenge isn't effort or capability. It's that the assumptions guiding your decisions no longer match the reality you're navigating.

Team & Culture

The conversation nobody is having.

Every organisation has issues everyone senses but nobody quite names. Misalignment. Conflicting priorities. Cultural contradictions. Frustrations hiding in plain sight. Facilitated workshops create the conditions for honest conversations that lead somewhere useful.
